Donna Dia Colletti Lowre was born in Boston and has lived across the US and in Europe. She has a BA from the University of Maryland (Europe) in English and Theatre, and was in the Master’s Degree directing program at UNLV. She has been a teacher in schools and in her own programs for 30 years and has taught people from age 4-94!
Donna Dia is an award-winning actress and singer and has performed in theatre in NYC, LA, regionally and in Europe. She has appeared in many TV shows, films, and commercials. Donna Dia studied acting at the world renowned Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and in the Master Class with Uta Hagen in NYC. She was founder and Artistic Director of Nevada Stage Company where her company performed Shakespeare in the Park. It was so successful that performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream delighted 3,000 people per night. She has directed plays and musicals for professional, college, community and school productions, as well as teaching in Arts Centers in Nevada and in Vermont. One of her favorite roles is Emily Dickinson in the one-woman play, The Belle of Amherst. She also wrote and performs her one-woman play of women in scripture called In Her Own Voice. Her performances have been acclaimed by critics and audiences alike.
Donna Dia answered a call to ministry in 2004, and graduated with honors from Andover Newton Theological School in 2008 with a Masters of Divinity and was ordained in 2010. She has been a spiritual counselor in hospice, spiritual guide, church pastor and sought after preacher, and teacher. Donna Dia’s theology and philosophy are inclusive of all people and she is a practitioner of New Thought/Ageless Wisdom teachings. She believes we need to take care of mind, body and spirit, to learn spiritual practices and use them daily, keep good company and love, love, love!
